Seeking in-house legal counsel, with 5+ years of experience working on corporate legal matters, particularly in the areas of contract drafting, review, and negotiations.
Primary responsibilities will include contract drafting, review, negotiation, and other support and advisory to internal business stakeholders. The legal counsel will also be required to provide support towards corporate-wide legal department activities, such as operating system improvement projects.
Position provides:
a) immense commercial & legal exposure towards structuring of engagements with global customers, alliance partners and vendors;
b) provides an opportunity to develop trusted relationships with geographic leadership, as well as sales and account management teams;

Knowledge and skills:
• Strong knowledge of contract law, with ability to analyze complex agreements and apply to business situations
• Relevant in-house experience or comparable skills
• Ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Self-driven and confidence to work independently, while working within and contributing to a team (in both the context of the legal team and the company as a whole)
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language – ability to effectively communicate across departments and various levels of authority
• Highly motivated to contribute and grow within a complex area of emerging importance
• Basic knowledge of software applications
• Exposure to contract management tools & systems is beneficial
• Foundational knowledge of data privacy fundamentals is valued
Corporate legal expectations:
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercials contracts, including services agreements, software licensing, NDA’s, vendor, subcontractor and other similar contracts. Ensuring agreements are aligned with company guidelines and meet market conditions.
• Use of contract management platform for contract lifecycle management.
• Answering contract-related queries and providing other ad hoc support to business teams.
• Advise on applicable laws, rules and regulations and ethical principles.
• Contribute to improvement of contracts playbook, preferred terms, template portfolio and similar initiatives.
• Provide required legal advisory support to other internal stakeholders, such as trademarks, HR, insurance, finance, procurement, and compliance.
• Support to legal management for privacy, risk management controls, legal cost controls and other programs.
• Develop trusted relationships with leadership, sales and account management.
• Provide mentorship to trainees and cultivate management skills.
