Senior Java AWS Backend Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Java AWS Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS, databases, and CI/CD. Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Kiro, Claude Code, or similar tools is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java backend applications.

Develop Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.

Design and implement cloud-native applications on AWS.

Work with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch.

Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and optimize application performance.

Develop event-driven applications using Kafka, SQS, SNS, RabbitMQ, or EventBridge.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Develop unit and integration tests using JUnit/Mockito.

Participate in architecture, design, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum activities.

AI-Assisted Development – Preferred

Experience with GitHub Copilot, Amazon Kiro, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI coding tools.

Use AI tools for code generation, debugging, refactoring, testing, documentation, and codebase analysis.

Review and validate AI-generated code for quality, security, performance, and maintainability.

Experience with Generative AI or AI-powered applications is a plus.

Required Skills

6–10+ years of software development experience.

Strong Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices experience.

Strong REST API and backend development experience.

Strong hands-on AWS experience.

Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Experience with Git and CI/CD.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
