Job Description – webMethods & Azure APIM Administrator

Role Summary

We are looking for a webMethods & Azure APIM Administrator with strong experience in middleware administration, API management, and production support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting Software AG webMethods Suite and Azure API Management (APIM) environments, ensuring platform stability, performance, security, and availability.

Required Skills

• 6–10 years of experience in webMethods Administration, Middleware Support, or API Management.
• Hands-on experience with:
• webMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, Trading Networks, My webMethods Server
• Azure API Management (APIM)
• Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Linux/Unix Administration and Shell Scripting
• CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab
• Strong understanding of:
• REST/SOAP APIs
• OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS
• Kubernetes concepts and administration
• Middleware architecture and API gateways
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, ELK, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
• Exposure to Azure cloud and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep/ARM) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support webMethods and Azure APIM environments.
• Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Manage API gateways, policies, certificates, subscriptions, and security configurations.
• Deploy and support containerized workloads on Docker and AKS.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD deployments and release management activities.
• Implement high availability, failover, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams to ensure smooth operations.

Preferred: Experience supporting enterprise-scale integration and API platforms in a 24x7 production environment.
