Freelance Android Developer

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Android Developer, having 5+yrs of experience.

This role is ideal for professionals currently working in a 100% REMOTE setup and looking to take up a long-term freelance or part-time engagement alongside their primary role with competitive compensation and meaningful additional income.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications.

Build scalable and reliable mobile products with a strong focus on performance and user experience.

Develop and integrate REST APIs, backend services, and third-party APIs.

Collaborate with backend, product, design, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Contribute to technical architecture and scalable application design.

Leverage AI/GenAI tools and technologies to improve development productivity and product capabilities.

Explore and integrate RAG, AI agents, and LLM-based solutions where relevant.

Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.

Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production releases.

Follow best practices for security, scalability, maintainability, and clean code.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Android development experience
• Strong expertise in Android SDK and mobile application development
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java
• Experience building and launching production-grade Android applications
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and mobile-backend integration
• Good knowledge of mobile architecture and design patterns
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills
• Product-focused mindset with experience building end-to-end solutions
