Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the technological roadmap aligned with Scan-IT's business objectives and market trends. Lead the innovation agenda to ensure Scan-IT remains at the forefront of the shipping and logistics software industry.
Team Management: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a diverse team of development engineers, business analysts, and IT consultants. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and continuous learning.
Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Drive innovation in product design and functionality to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Client Engagement: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to understand client requirements and market trends. Collaborate with clients to gather feedback and insights to enhance existing products and identify new opportunities for innovation.
Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance Scan-IT's technological capabilities and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the technology infrastructure and implement robust security measures to safeguard against cyber threats and data breaches.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support the company's strategic objectives and growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven track record of at least 10 years in a senior technology leadership role, preferably within the shipping and logistics or related industries.
Strong technical expertise in software development, with hands-on experience in programming languages, databases, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business processes and market dynamics.
Proven ability to drive innovation and implement transformative technology initiatives that deliver tangible business value.
Experience working in a multinational environment and managing remote teams across different geographies.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security standards in the shipping and logistics industry is a plus.
