Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with 7+ years of hands-on experience in traditional AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and statistical modeling. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in developing and deploying analytical models using Python and SQL, with experience working on large-scale datasets in Databricks.

The candidate will be responsible for solving complex business problems through data-driven approaches, building predictive models, and delivering actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced machine learning and statistical models for business problems.
• Build solutions using forecasting, optimization, clustering, regression, and recommendation models.
• Perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
• Work with large and complex datasets using Databricks, SQL, and Python.
• Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to support business decision-making.
• Identify patterns, trends, and relationships within large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Evaluate model performance and continuously improve model accuracy, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, software engineers, and other data scientists.
• Develop reusable data science workflows and analytical frameworks.
• Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Forecasting / Time-Series Modeling

• Recommendation Systems
• Statistical Analysis
• Predictive Modeling
• Strong experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and distributed data processing.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical concepts, and model evaluation techniques.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model validation, and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently own data science problems from problem definition through model development and insights delivery.

Good to Have

• Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Experience with ML libraries such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments.
• Knowledge of MLOps and model monitoring.
• Experience in working with business-critical analytics and optimization problems.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
