Senior SQL Server & PostgreSQL DBA

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server & PostgreSQL DBA to manage, support,

optimize, and enhance enterprise database environments across on-premises and cloud

platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in database administration, SQL

development, performance tuning, migration, and production support. This role requires

hands-on experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud-managed database services,

along with the ability to collaborate effectively with application development,

infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Database Administration and SQL Development.

• Strong expertise in SQL Server DBA activities supporting mission-critical production

environments.

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and

troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures,

functions, views, and triggers.

• Experience with query tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing, database

optimization, and performance troubleshooting.

• Experience with database migration, schema conversion, data migration, and

modernization projects.

• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL.

• Strong understanding of backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery,

and database security best practices.

• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar

technologies.

• Familiarity with database deployment tools, version control, and CI/CD processes.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Flyway, Liquibase, Alembic, or similar database migration tools.

• Experience working in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Knowledge of database monitoring, observability, and capacity planning tools.
