Senior SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in India for a Senior SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant. The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP PM solutions, including preventive and corrective maintenance processes, maintenance planning, and work order management. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering business requirements, conducting system analysis, preparing functional specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP PM with other SAP modules. The role involves supporting users through training, documentation, and troubleshooting, as well as participating in testing, go-live support, and continuous process improvements. The consultant will also provide expert guidance on best practices to help clients optimize plant maintenance activities and asset management.
Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance (configuration, implementation, and support) and solid understanding of maintenance planning and execution processes.
  • Experience integrating SAP PM with related modules such as MM, PP, and QM, and working with cross-functional teams in complex SAP landscapes.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and solution design for enterprise maintenance operations.
  • Ability to conduct system testing (unit, integration, and UAT), troubleshoot issues, and manage change requests and enhancements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
  • Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in SAP PM consulting, preferably in manufacturing, utilities, or similar asset-intensive industries.
  • Professional certifications in SAP (e.g., SAP PM or related modules) are an advantage, along with experience in on-site client engagements in India.
