Data Eminence is seeking a motivated Network Engineer to join our growing infrastructure and technology team. In this role, you will assist in managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and system availability.
You will collaborate with IT, infrastructure, security, and development teams to resolve network issues and support infrastructure improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience with routing, switching, network security, monitoring, VPNs, cloud networking, and modern infrastructure tools while working remotely.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices
- Monitoring network performance, availability, and connectivity
- Troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues
- Supporting LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network environments
- Performing network diagnostics and identifying root causes of issues
- Configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and related services
- Assisting with firewall and network security configurations
- Monitoring network traffic and identifying potential performance issues
- Maintaining network configurations, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Supporting network upgrades, deployments, and maintenance activities
- Collaborating with IT and infrastructure teams to resolve technical incidents
- Assisting with network access management and security controls
- Supporting cloud networking and connectivity requirements
- Preparing technical reports and documenting incidents and resolutions
- Following network security and infrastructure best practices
- Staying updated with networking technologies and infrastructure trends

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in networking, IT infrastructure, or a relevant internship
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and TCP/IP
- Familiarity with routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls
- Basic understanding of LAN, WAN, and wireless networking
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Basic understanding of network security concepts
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows networking environments is a plus
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking is beneficial
- CCNA, Network+, or similar certification is a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
