Full Stack Engineer

Hours: Flexible with 2–4 hr overlap to 9:00–17:00 ET (Toronto)

Compensation: ₹65,000–₹75,000 per month (INR) (salary range)

About VendorBay

VendorBay (myvendorbay.com) is a Toronto-based procure-to-pay (P2P) SaaS for healthcare operators—nursing homes, retirement homes, and clinics. We unify product search, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, and analytics, with direct supplier integrations via EDI/API and syncs to customer accounting systems. Engineering is led by our CTO (IIT Guwahati alumnus, 20+ years across startups and larger companies).

What you’ll do

• Ship clean, maintainable features across React/Next.js and Node.js services
• Build reusable UI components; optimize for performance and accessibility
• Design and consume REST/GraphQL APIs; implement webhooks, retries, idempotency
• Develop supplier integrations (EDI X12: 850/855/856/810, cXML, API) with logging/monitoring
• Own data models & migrations; write efficient SQL; add caching where useful
• Contribute tests (unit/integration/e2e); improve observability & error handling
• Collaborate with product/design; break down requirements into incremental deliverables
• Uphold security best practices (least privilege)

Our stack (nice to have—not all required)

• Front end: React, Next.js, TypeScript, React Query, Redux Toolkit, Tailwind
• Back end: Node.js (Express/NestJS), TypeScript, REST/GraphQL, background workers/queues
• Data: PostgreSQL, Redis
• Infra: AWS

What we’re looking for

• 2–5 years professional Full-Stack experience
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript across front end and back end
• Production experience with React/Next.js and Node.js
• Solid understanding of APIs, pagination, rate limits, and error-handling patterns
• Proficient with SQL and data modeling
• Clear communication; ownership mindset; comfort with distributed teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent practical experience

Bonus: EDI (X12), cXML, healthcare procurement, accounting/ERP integrations, AWS, Docker.
