Manager - Quality

Job Description

1. Raw Materials & Packaging Compliance

- Ensure raw material compliance with quality parameters and taste evaluation.

- Approve MRIN (Material Receipt & Inspection Note) for raw materials and packaging materials.

- Vendor qualification, documents verification (COA, SAQ, PM specs, certifications, sustainability requirements).

- Packaging material validation, artworks, and labels control.

- Supplier audits and periodic performance evaluation.

2. Production & Process Quality

- Oversee agglomeration and other product quality checks.

- Conduct FG (Finished Goods) Second Pass Verification and documentation.

- GMP, hygiene controls, and compliance verification.

- PRP (Pre-requisite Programs) controls and documentation.

- Pest control compliance monitoring and effectiveness verification.

- Calibration, ALC documentation, and sample data management.

3. Quality Systems & Documentation

- All departmental document control and record management.

- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, QMS (ISO/FSSC 22000), Social, and Sustainability standards.

- Objective setting, evidence preparation, and documentation for audits.

- Contracts, specifications, COA, and outgoing documents control.

- Outgoing COA verification and sign-off.

- MIS reports preparation (Quality, Budget, Certification, and Sustainability).

4. Compliance & Certification

- Sustainability audits documentation, Organic coffee documents, and traceability accountability.

- Social compliance audit preparation (SMETA/SA8000/SEDEX or equivalent).

- Certification audits follow-up (FSSC 22000, Organic, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, etc.).

- Regulatory compliance (FSSAI, EU, USFDA, Codex, etc.) for products and packaging.

- All PRPs and CCPs validation, monitoring, and verification.

5. Cross-functional Support & Systems

- NetSuite entries verification and quality follow-up.

- Payment follow-up related to certifications, inspections, and inventory quality charges.

- Training & development of inter-departmental staff on quality systems and hygiene practices.

6. Continuous Improvement & Leadership

- Lead quality improvement initiatives across departments.

- Drive digital quality documentation and data analytics for decision-making.

- Support product development with sensory evaluation and shelf-life studies.

- Establish strong vendor partnerships through continuous quality improvement.

- People management, mentoring, and competency development of the QA/QC team.
