Job Description: Data Engineer (Informatica IDMC)

Location: Remote (India)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with 7–10 years of hands-on experience in building, integrating, and optimizing enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), particularly Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Application Integration (CAI), along with experience working on modern cloud data platforms such as Oracle OCI, Databricks, or Microsoft Azure.

This role requires a strong development-oriented professional who can independently design, develop, troubleshoot, and support data integration solutions in an offshore delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data integration pipelines using Informatica IDMC, with a strong focus on Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Application Integration (CAI).
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for enterprise data integration and migration initiatives.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.
• Write and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation, scheduling, and operational support.
• Develop Python-based solutions for data processing, automation, and workflow optimization.
• Integrate data across cloud and on-premises systems while ensuring data quality, performance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, business analysts, and application teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and deployment processes within an offshore delivery model.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7–10 years of overall experience in Data Engineering and ETL development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
• Strong expertise in:
• Cloud Data Integration (CDI)
• Cloud Application Integration (CAI)
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data transformations and performance optimization.
• Strong experience with Unix/Linux scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering, automation, and scripting.
• Experience working with at least one of the following cloud data platforms:
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Databricks
• Microsoft Azure
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in an offshore delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data engineering projects.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications using cloud-native integration services.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT best practices.
• Experience with cloud-based data migration and modernization projects.
