Technical Project Manager R&D

As Project Manager, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional projects focused on new product development, product enhancements, and lifecycle management activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams and gain hands-on experience in managing technical projects from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the planning, execution, and tracking of technical projects from initiation to completion.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, Quality & Regulatory, Operations, Procurement, Customer Support, and Technical Publications.

- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and resource tracking using project management tools.

- Consolidate inputs from hardware, software, and other functional teams to build and maintain integrated project plans.

- Create project status reports, dashboards, presentations, and metrics for leadership reviews.

- Develop and maintain project documentation, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Gantt Charts, risk registers, and action trackers.

- Monitor project milestones and help ensure timely delivery of project objectives.

- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and support mitigation planning.

- Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders and support effective communication across teams.

- Assist in managing product lifecycle activities, design changes, and innovation projects.

- Support project governance processes and ensure compliance with organizational and quality requirements.

- Leverage AI-enabled tools and modern project management practices to improve team productivity and project outcomes.

- Foster positive working relationships within cross-functional teams and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Education

- Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification OR

- Master's degree in project management, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.

Experience

- 0 to 2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, R&D, engineering, product development, or related areas.

- Internship, academic projects, or industry exposure in technical project environments will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills

- Understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel (Pivot Tables, Charts), PowerPoint, and Power BI.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Basic understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project management methodologies.

- Knowledge of product development processes and engineering lifecycle concepts is preferred.

- Familiarity with medical device regulations, quality systems, or design controls is a plus.

- Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
